Introducción. El uso de la inteligencia artificial (IA) en la educación ha sido objeto de una creciente atención en los últimos años. La IA se ha utilizado para mejorar la personalización del aprendizaje, la retroalimentación y la evaluación de los estudiantes. Sin embargo, también hay desafíos y limitaciones asociados. El objetivo de este trabajo fue identificar las principales tendencias y áreas de aplicación de la inteligencia artificial en la educación, así como analizar los beneficios y limitaciones de su uso en este ámbito. Métodos. Se llevó a cabo una revisión sistemática que exploró el empleo de la inteligencia artificial en el ámbito educativo. Esta revisión siguió una metodología de investigación basada en la búsqueda de literatura, compuesta por cinco etapas. La investigación se realizó utilizando Scopus como fuente de consulta primaria y se empleó la herramienta VOSviewer para analizar los resultados obtenidos. Resultados. Se encontraron numerosos estudios que investigan el uso de la IA en la educación. Los resultados sugieren que la IA puede mejorar significativamente la personalización del aprendizaje, proporcionando recomendaciones de actividades y retroalimentación adaptadas a las necesidades individuales de cada estudiante. Conclusiones. A pesar de las ventajas del uso de la IA en la educación, también hay desafíos y limitaciones que deben abordarse, como la calidad de los datos utilizados por la IA, la necesidad de capacitación para educadores y estudiantes, y las preocupaciones sobre la privacidad y la seguridad de los datos de los estudiantes. Es importante seguir evaluando los efectos del uso de la IA en la educación para garantizar su uso efectivo y responsable.


Introduction. The use of artificial intelligence (AI) in education has been the subject of increasing attention in recent years. AI has been used to improve personalized learning, feedback, and student assessment. However, there are also challenges and limitations. The aim of this study was to identify the main trends and areas of application of artificial intelligence in education, as well as to analyze the benefits and limitations of its use in this field. Methods. A systematic review was carried out on the use of artificial intelligence in education, using a literature search research methodology with five stages, based on the Scopus query and the tool for analyzing results with VOSviewer. Results. Numerous studies investigating the use of AI in education were found. The results suggest that AI can significantly improve personalized learning by providing activity recommendations and feedback tailored to the individual needs of each student. Conclusions. Despite the advantages of using AI in education, there are also challenges and limitations that need to be addressed, such as the quality of data used by AI, the need for training for educators and students, and concerns about the privacy and security of student data. It is important to continue evaluating the effects of AI use in education to ensure its effective and responsible use.

ABSTRACT Objective: Evaluate and correlate the sagittal balance parameters with the postural of the pelvis and lumbar spine. Methods: 80 individuals of both sexes, aged between 20 and 35 years, were evaluated. Biophotogrammetry was done with the SAPO software program. Measurements of the sagittal balance parameters were obtained by analyzing a lateral view panoramic radiography of the vertebral column, in which the anatomical points of reference were digitally marked. The calculation of the angles was done automatically by the Keops program. Results: In Keops assessment, 17.5% of the sample had high pelvic incidence angles (> 60°), 31.5% had low pelvic incidence angles (< 45°), and 51.2% had medium pelvic incidence angles (between 46° and 59°). SAPO showed 12,5% lordosis, 40% retroversion, and 47,5% normal curvature. In the right lateral view, pelvic incidence angle had a moderate and positive correlation with vertical alignment of the trunk and with vertical alignment of the body, and a negative and moderate correlation with horizontal alignment of the pelvis. Conclusion: Differences were found between vertical alignment measurements from the postural evaluation system (SAPO). A positive correlation was found between PI from Keops and pelvic anteversion from SAPO. Level of Evidence II; Prospective Study.


RESUMO Objetivo: Avaliar e correlacionar o equilíbrio sagital com parâmetros posturais da pelve e coluna lombar Métodos: Foram avaliados 80 indivíduos de ambos os sexos, com idade entre 20 e 35 anos. A biofotogrametria foi realizada com o software SAPO. As medidas dos parâmetros do equilíbrio sagital foram obtidas pela análise de uma radiografia panorâmica em perfil da coluna vertebral, na qual os pontos anatômicos de referência foram marcados digitalmente. O cálculo dos ângulos foi feito automaticamente pelo programa Keops. Resultados: Na avaliação Keops, 17,5% da amostra apresentavam ângulos de incidência pélvicos altos (> 60°), 31,5% tinham ângulos de incidência pélvicos baixos (< 45°) e 51,2% apresentavam ângulos de incidência pélvicos médios (entre 46° e 59°). O SAPO apresentou 12,5% de lordose, 40% de retroversão e 47,5% de curvatura normal. Na vista lateral direita, o ângulo de incidência da pelve apresentou correlação moderada e positiva com o alinhamento vertical do tronco e com o alinhamento vertical do corpo e negativa e moderada com o alinhamento horizontal da pelve. Conclusão: Foram encontradas diferenças entre as medidas de alinhamento vertical do sistema de avaliação postural (SAPO). Uma correlação positiva foi encontrada entre IP de Keops e anteversão pélvica de SAPO. Nível de Evidência II; Estudo Prospectivo.

Abstract Objective: The aim of this population-based retrospective study was to compare the osteogenic effect of newly formed bone after maxillary sinus floor elevation (MSFE) and simultaneous implantation with or without bone grafts by quantitatively analyzing trabecular bone parameters. Methodology: A total of 100 patients with missing posterior maxillary teeth who required MSFE and implantation were included in this study. Patients were divided into two groups: the non-graft group (n=50) and the graft group (n=50). Radiographic parameters were measured using cone beam computed tomography (CBCT), and the quality of newly formed bone was analyzed by assessing trabecular bone parameters using CTAn (CTAnalyzer, SkyScan, Antwerp, Belgium) software. Results: In the selected regions of interest, the non-graft group showed greater bone volume/total volume (BV/TV), bone surface/total volume (BS/TV), trabecular number (Tb. N), and trabecular thickness (Tb. Th) than the graft group (p<0.001). The non-graft group showed lower trabecular separation (Tb. Sp) than the graft group (p<0.001). The incidence of perforation and bleeding was higher in the graft group than in the non-graft group (p<0.001), but infection did not significantly differ between groups (p>0.05). Compared to the graft group, the non-graft group showed lower postoperative bone height, gained bone height and apical bone height (p<0.001). Conclusion: MSFE with and without bone grafts can significantly improve bone formation. In MSFE, the use of bone grafts hinders the formation of good quality bone, whereas the absence of bone grafts can generate good bone quality and limited bone mass.

Resumo Objetivo Descrever o processo de desenvolvimento e validação de um software web de apoio à gestão da assistência pré-natal. Métodos Pesquisa de produção tecnológica, realizada entre março e agosto de 2022, com base em princípios e técnicas do método Scrum. As funcionalidades do software web, com acesso e funções específicas a três diferentes usuários (Administrador, Gestor e Visitante), foram desenvolvidas de forma colegiada entre desenvolvedores, pesquisadores, gestores e profissionais da saúde, a partir de necessidades práticas relacionadas à gestão da assistência pré-natal. Resultados O software web é uma ferramenta de apoio à gestão da assistência pré-natal, com potencial para gerar infográficos que denotem intercorrências gestacionais e que permitem, de forma ágil e segura, à tomada de decisões estratégicas loco-regionais. Conclusão O processo de desenvolvimento e validação do software web de apoio à gestão da assistência pré-natal deu-se de forma colegiada entre desenvolvedores, pesquisadores, gestores e profissionais da saúde, a partir de necessidades práticas relacionadas à gestão da assistência pré-natal. A ferramenta foi desenvolvida de modo a possibilitar acesso e funções específicas a três diferentes usuários (Administrador, Gestor e Visitante), com vistas à tomada de decisões rápidas e seguras.


Resumen Objetivo Describir el proceso de desarrollo y validación de un software web de apoyo a la gestión de la atención prenatal. Métodos Investigación de producción tecnológica, realizada entre marzo y agosto de 2022, con base en principios y técnicas de la metodología Scrum. Las funcionalidades del software web, con acceso y funciones específicas para tres usuarios (administrador, gestor y visitante), se desarrollaron de forma colegiada entre desarrolladores, investigadores, gestores y profesionales de la salud, a partir de necesidades prácticas relacionadas con la gestión de la atención prenatal. Resultados El software web es una herramienta de apoyo a la gestión de la atención prenatal, con potencial para generar infográficos que indiquen complicaciones gestacionales y que permitan tomar decisiones estratégicas locorregionales de forma ágil y segura. Conclusión El proceso de desarrollo y validación del software web de apoyo a la gestión de la atención prenatal se realizó de forma colegiada entre desarrolladores, investigadores, gestores y profesionales de la salud, a partir de necesidades prácticas relacionadas con la gestión de la atención prenatal. La herramienta se desarrolló a fin de permitir el acceso y funciones específicas para tres diferentes usuarios (administrador, gestor y visitante), con el objetivo de tomar decisiones rápidas y seguras.


Abstract Objective To describe the development and validation process of a web software to support the management of prenatal care. Methods Technological development research, carried out between March and August 2022, based on principles and techniques of the Scrum method. The functionalities of the web software, with access and specific functions for three different users (Administrator, Manager and Visitor), were developed jointly by developers, researchers, managers and health professionals, based on practical needs related to the management of prenatal care. Results The web software is a tool to support the management of prenatal care, with the potential to generate infographics that denote gestational intercurrences and that allow, in an agile and safe way, the making of local-regional strategic decisions. Conclusion The process of development and validation of the web software to support the management of prenatal care was carried out jointly by developers, researchers, managers and health professionals, based on practical needs related to the management of prenatal care. The tool was developed in order to allow access and specific functions to three different users (Administrator, Manager and Visitor), with a view to making quick and safe decisions.

@#Objective    To investigate the clinical effect of 3D computed tomography bronchial bronchography and angiography (3D-CTBA) and guidance of thoracoscopic anatomic pulmonary segmentectomy by Mimics software system. Methods    A retrospective analysis was performed on patients who underwent thoracoscopic segmentectomy in the Department of Thoracic Surgery of Affiliated People's Hospital of Jiangsu University from June 2020 to December 2022. The patients who underwent preoperative 3D-CTBA using Materiaise's interactive medical image control system (Mimics) were selected as an observation group, and the patients who did not receive 3D-CTBA were selected as a control group. The relevant clinical indicators were compared between the two groups. Results    A total of 59 patients were included, including 29 males and 30 females, aged 25-79 years. There were 37 patients in the observation group, and 22 patients in the control group. The operation time (163.0±48.7 min vs. 188.8±43.0 min, P=0.044), intraoperative blood loss [10.0 (10.0, 20.0) mL vs. 20.0 (20.0, 35.0) mL, P<0.001], and preoperative puncture localization rate (5.4% vs. 31.8%, P=0.019) in the observation group were better than those in the control group. There was no statistically significant difference in the thoracic tube placement time, thoracic fluid drainage volume, number of intraoperative closure nail bin, postoperative hospital stay, or postoperative air leakage incidence (P>0.05) between the two groups. Conclusion    For patients who need to undergo anatomical pulmonary segmentectomy, using Mimics software to produce 3D-CTBA before surgery can help accurately identify pulmonary arteriovenous anatomy, reduce surgical time and intraoperative blood loss, help to determine the location of nodules and reduce invasive localization before surgery, and alleviate patients' pain, which is worthy of clinical promotion.

Introdução: A cirurgia ortognática envolve manipulação da arquitetura óssea facial, através de osteotomias, para restaurar a forma e a função, corrigindo a má oclusão, as desproporções maxilomandibulares e assimetrias faciais. O planejamento virtual em cirurgia ortognática é realizado com ajuda de softwares que utilizam as medidas reais do esqueleto craniofacial e registros da oclusão do paciente, através de uma análise 3D. Método: Foram avaliados 18 pacientes com deformidades dentofaciais, de acordo com a classificação de Angle submetidos a cirurgia ortognática com o uso do planejamento virtual, entre 2018 e 2019. Os critérios de inclusão foram pacientes entre 16 e 60 anos com desproporções maxilo-mandibulares nas quais o tratamento ortodôntico isolado não era suficiente. Os critérios de exclusão foram a presença de lesões císticas ou tumorais nos maxilares e comorbidades clínicas que contraindicavam a cirurgia. O planejamento virtual foi realizado em todos os pacientes, utilizando o software Dolphin® Imaging 11 e os guias cirúrgicos confeccionados em impressora 3D. Resultados: O guia cirúrgico intermediário apresentou adaptação perfeita nas faces oclusais promovendo grande estabilidade para o reposicionamento e fixação da maxila na oclusão intermediária. Os 18 pacientes operados responderam como "totalmente satisfeitos" em relação ao resultado estético-funcional nessa série estudada. Foi encontrada uma semelhança muito grande da posição do esqueleto maxilofacial no planejamento virtual préoperatório e o obtido no pós-operatório, através da avaliação das telerradiografias. Conclusão: O planejamento virtual em cirurgia craniomaxilofacial possui inúmeras vantagens, como diminuição do tempo laboratorial pré-operatório, maior precisão na confecção dos guias cirúrgicos e melhor reprodutibilidade dos resultados simulados.


Introduction: Orthognathic surgery involves the manipulation of facial bone architecture through osteotomies to restore form and function, correcting malocclusion, maxillomandibular disproportions, and facial asymmetries. Virtual planning in orthognathic surgery is carried out with the help of software that uses real measurements of the craniofacial skeleton and records of the patient's occlusion through 3D analysis. Method: 18 patients with dentofacial deformities were evaluated, according to Angle's classification, who underwent orthognathic surgery using virtual planning between 2018 and 2019. The inclusion criteria were patients between 16 and 60 years old with maxylo-mandibular disproportions in which orthodontic treatment alone was not sufficient. Exclusion criteria were the presence of cystic or tumoral lesions in the jaw and clinical comorbidities that contraindicated surgery. Virtual planning was carried out on all patients, using Dolphin® Imaging 11 software and surgical guides made with a 3D printer. Results: The intermediate surgical guide presented perfect adaptation on the occlusal surfaces, promoting great stability for the repositioning and fixation of the maxilla in intermediate occlusion. The 18 operated patients responded as "completely satisfied" in relation to the aesthetic-functional result in this series studied. A very great similarity was found between the position of the maxillofacial skeleton in the preoperative virtual planning and that obtained post-operatively through the evaluation of teleradiography. Conclusion: Virtual planning in craniomaxillofacial surgery has numerous advantages, such as reduced pre-operative laboratory time, greater precision in the creation of surgical guides, and better reproducibility of simulated results.

Objetivo:Investigar estudos que apresentem sistemas computacionais de auxílio à cicatrização de feridas e quais sistemas se referem ao uso de laser de baixa intensidade. Método: Revisão de escopo que visou responder à questão de pesquisa: Quais sistemas computacionais auxiliam na cicatrização de feridas? Uma subquestão foi: quais sistemas computacionais se referem ao uso do laser de baixa intensidade? Resultados: A partir da busca, aplicando os critérios de elegibilidade, 49 artigos compuseram a amostra final. Os sistemas apresentaram várias finalidades de apoio à cicatrização de feridas, em que a maioria apresentou como usuário do sistema o profissional de saúde, sendo a medicina a área profissional mais mencionada, embora a enfermagem esteja envolvida com o manejo do cuidado às pessoas com feridas. Foi relatada com frequência a inovação na assistência a partir do uso do sistema computacional, o que demonstra a importância desse tipo de ferramenta para a prática clínica. Verificou-se com frequência o uso de plataforma mobile, como tendência da atualidade. Conclusão: Os sistemas computacionais têm sido utilizados como ferramentas para apoiar pacientes e principalmente profissionais na cicatrização de feridas. Quanto ao laser de baixa intensidade, houve escassez de sistemas computacionais com essa finalidade, com apenas um estudo.


Objective:To investigate studies that present computational systems to aid healing and systems which refer to the use of low-level laser. Method: Scope review that aimed to answer the question: Which computer systems help in wound healing? A subquestion was: Which of the computer systems refer to the use of low-level laser? Results: From the search, applying the eligibility criteria, 49 articles made up the final sample. The systems served multiple purposes in support of wound healing; the majority presented the health professional as a user of the system; medicine was the most mentioned professional area despite nursing being involved in the management of care for people with wounds. Innovation in care using the computer system was frequently reported, demonstrating the importance of this type of tool for clinical practice. There was a high frequency of the mobile platform, showing that this is a current trend. Conclusion: Computer systems have been used as tools to support patients and especially professionals in wound healing. Regarding the systems aimed at the low intensity laser, there was a shortage of computer systems for this purpose, with a study.


Objetivo:Investigar estudios que presenten sistemas computacionales de ayuda a la cicatrización y sistemas que se refieran al uso de láser de bajo nivel. Método: Revisión de alcance que tuvo como objetivo responder a la pregunta: ¿Qué sistemas informáticos ayudan en la cicatrización de heridas? Una subpregunta fue: ¿Cuál de los sistemas informáticos se refieren al uso de láser de bajo nivel? Resultados: A partir de la búsqueda, aplicando los criterios de elegibilidad, 49 artículos conformaron la muestra final. Los sistemas sirvieron para múltiples propósitos en apoyo de la cicatrización de heridas; la mayoría presentó al profesional de la salud como usuario del sistema; la medicina fue el área profesional más mencionadas, a pesar de que la enfermería está involucrada en la gestión del cuidado de las personas con heridas. La innovación en la atención basada en el uso del sistema informático fue relatada con frecuencia, demostrando la importancia de este tipo de herramienta para la práctica clínica. Hubo una alta frecuencia de la plataforma móvil, lo que demuestra que esta es una tendencia actual. Conclusión: Los sistemas informáticos se han utilizado como herramientas de apoyo a los pacientes y especialmente a los profesionales en la cicatrización de heridas. En cuanto a los sistemas dirigidos al láser de baja intensidad, hubo escasez de sistemas informáticos para este fin, con un estudio.

Introducción. La medición del consumo de alimentos es un importante indicador del estado nutricional de las personas; sin embargo, el proceso no es fácil y puede tener un nivel de error inaceptable. La incorporación de nuevas tecnologías pueden facilitar el proceso y minimizar el error. Objetivo. Desarrollar un programa informático en la web para nutricionistas que permita el ingreso de datos de consumo de alimentos con un recordatorio de 24 horas o de los 7 días anteriores, el análisis de la ingesta de energía y nutrientes y su comparación con las ingestas recomendadas; con el fin de minimizar el error en la recopilación y análisis de los datos. Materiales y métodos. Primero, se determinaron las características importantes que debe tener el programa, el cual fue elaborado posteriormente con los lenguajes de programación de Python y Javascript y con un patrón de diseño modelo-vista-controlador. Simultáneamente se crearon tres bases de datos, uno con el valor nutritivo de los alimentos, otro con datos de tamaños de porción de los mismos y otro con las recomendaciones nutricionales. Una vez elaborado, el programa fue sometido a una serie de pruebas para evaluar tanto su facilidad de uso como la exactitud de los cálculos. Resultados. Se describen las 9 etapas del programa y se justifica su diseño con evidencias de la literatura científica. Conclusiones. Se desarrolló el programa en la web, 'Dietnóstico', que permite la recolección y análisis de datos de consumo de alimentos. Una vez validado, el programa estará disponible para nutricionistas a usar en la atención nutricional y la investigación(AU)


Introduction. Assessment of food consumption is an important indicator of a person's nutritional status; however, it is not a simple process and can involve an unacceptable level of error. The application of new technologies in this process can lead to improvements and the minimization of error. Objective. To develop a computer program in the web, for nutritionists that allows the input of food consumption data using a 24- hour recall or a recall of food consumption during the 7 previous days, the analysis of energy and nutrient intake and its comparison with recommended intakes with the aim of minimizing the error involved in the collection and analysis of food consumption data. Materials and methods. The first stage was to define important characteristics to include in the programme which was developed using the programming languages of Python and Javascript and using a model-view-controller design pattern. At the same time, three databases were created: one with the nutritional value of foods, another with portion sizes of the foods and a third with the nutritional recommendations. Once created, several trials were conducted on the programme to test the operations from a user point of view, and the accuracy of the calculations. Results. The 9 stages of the software are described and its design is justified with evidence from the scientific literature. Conclusions. The program 'Dietnóstico' for use in the web, allows the collection and analysis of food consumption data. Once validated, it will be available for nutritionists involved in nutrition counselling and research(AU)

Al desarrollar modelos de predicción para su aplicación en la práctica clínica, los profesionales de la salud suelen categorizar las variables clínicas que son de naturaleza continua. En muchas ocasiones estos modelos constituyen la base para la confección de escalas predictivas, a partir de las cuales se estratifica a los pacientes en varias categorías atendiendo al fenómeno estudiado. En estos casos se requiere la determinación de uno o varios puntos de cortes que permitan dividir el recorrido de la variable, variables continuas o puntuaciones de una escala, en dos o más categorías. El presente trabajo tiene como objetivo la automatización de diferentes métodos para dicotomizar variables continuas en modelos de predicción clínica, donde la variable respuesta es dicotómica, y determinar el punto de corte óptimo en la estratificación de pacientes en dos categorías, a partir de escalas de predicción. Para ello se elaboró un software en el lenguaje de programación R, que implementa diferentes métodos para la determinación del punto de corte óptimo, lo cual agiliza el trabajo investigativo de los especialistas de salud en el proceso de elaboración de modelos predictivos y/o escalas de predicción.


When developing predictive models for application in clinical practice, health professionals often categorize clinical variables that are continuous in nature. In many cases, these models are the basis for the development of predictive scales from which patients are stratified into various categories according to the phenomenon under study. In both cases, it is necessary to determine one or more cut-off points that allow dividing the path of the variable, continuous variables, or scores of a scale into two or more categories. The aim of the present work is to automate different existing methods for dichotomizing continuous variables in clinical prediction models where the response variable is dichotomous, as well as to determine the optimal cut-off point for stratifying patients into two categories, based on prediction scales. For this purpose, a software was developed in the R programming language, which implements different existing methods for the determination of the optimal cut-off point, speeding up the research work of health specialists in the process of developing predictive models and/or prediction scales.

El campo de la radiología ha experimentado avances notables en las últimas décadas, con desarrollos que van desde la mejora de la calidad y digitalización de las imágenes hasta la detección asistida por computadora. Particularmente, la aparición de técnicas de Inteligencia Artificial basadas en Deep Learning y Visión Computacional han promovido soluciones innovadoras en el diagnóstico y el análisis radiológico. Se explora la relevancia de los desarrollos y modelos open source en el progreso de estas técnicas, resaltando el impacto que la colaboración y el acceso abierto han tenido en el avance científico del campo. La investigación tiene un enfoque cualitativo, con alcance descriptivo y retrospectivo, de corte longitudinal. Se realizó un análisis documental de la evolución y el impacto del open source en la Radiología, poniendo de relieve la colaboración multidisciplinar. Se examinaron casos de uso, ventajas, desafíos y consideraciones éticas en relación con la implementación de soluciones basadas en Inteligencia Artificial en Radiología. El enfoque open source ha mostrado ser una influencia positiva en la Radiología, con potencial para influir en la atención médica, ofreciendo soluciones más precisas y accesibles. No obstante, se presentan desafíos éticos y técnicos que requieren atención.


The field of radiology has seen notable advances in recent decades, with developments ranging from image quality improvement and digitization to computer-aided detection. Particularly, the emergence of Artificial Intelligence techniques based on Deep Learning and Computer Vision have promoted innovative solutions in diagnosis and radiological analysis. This article explores the relevance of open source developments and models in the progress of these techniques, highlighting the impact that collaboration and open access have had on the scientific advancement in this field. This research has a qualitative approach, with a descriptive, retrospective, longitudinal scope. A documentary analysis of the evolution and impact of open source in Radiology was carried out, highlighting multidisciplinary collaboration. Use cases, advantages, challenges and ethical considerations were also examined in relation to the implementation of AI-based solutions in Radiology. The Open Source approach has been shown to be a positive influence in Radiology, with the potential to influence medical care, offering more precise and accessible solutions. However, there are ethical and technical challenges that require attention.

El software GeoGebra es muy útil en las simulaciones de movimientos físicos porque con la ayuda de este el profesional del deporte es capaz de interpretar con valores matemáticos y geométricos la realización de un lanzamiento, una acción que a simple vista es muy difícil descifrar. Sin embargo, a pesar de ser este recurso una vía recurrente para contribuir al desarrollo de la cultura física y el deporte, no ha sido muy generalizado su uso en esta área del conocimiento. Es por ello que los autores de esta investigación se proponen como objetivo: realizar una sistematización documental sobre el software Geogebra enfocado en la cultura Física para que se convierta en un referente a tener en cuenta para futuras innovaciones e investigaciones referente al tema. Con vistas a lograr esta meta consultaron un grupo de artículos en bases de datos de Scopus y Google Académico y publicados en los últimos cinco años referente al uso del Software GeoGebra y se visualizaron las características de este medio y los diversos beneficios que ha ofrecido a través del tiempo. Los artículos hallados se sistematizaron considerando la matriz de análisis, conteniendo aspectos preponderantes en cantidad de publicaciones durante el año 2021 con 12 publicaciones y menor cantidad de publicaciones durante el 2022. Se estudió un prototipo de 29 artículos, en los últimos cinco años referente al uso del Softwares educativos que implican al GeoGebra.

Contudo, apesar deste recurso ser uma forma recorrente de contribuir para o desenvolvimento da cultura física e do desporto, a sua utilização nesta área do conhecimento não tem sido muito difundida. É por isso que os autores desta pesquisa propõem como objetivo: realizar uma sistematização documental sobre o software Geogebra voltado para a Cultura Física para que ele se torne uma referência a ser levada em conta para futuras inovações e pesquisas sobre o tema. do tempo. Os artigos encontrados foram sistematizados considerando a matriz de análise, contendo aspectos predominantes no número de publicações durante o ano de 2021 com 12 publicações e um menor número de publicações durante 2022. Foi estudado um protótipo de 29 artigos, nos últimos cinco anos quanto ao uso de software educacional que envolve o GeoGebra.


The GeoGebra software is very useful in simulating physical movements because with the help of it the sports professional is able to interpret with mathematical and geometric values the execution of a throw, an action that is very difficult to decipher with the naked eye. However, although this resource is a recurring way to contribute to the development of physical culture and sports, its use in this area of knowledge has not been very widespread. That is why the authors of this research propose as an objective: to carry out a documentary systematization on the Geogebra software focused on Physical culture so that it becomes a reference to be taken into account for future innovations and research on the topic. With a view to achieving this goal, they consulted a group of articles in Scopus and Google Scholar databases and published in the last five years regarding the use of GeoGebra Software and the characteristics of this medium, as well as the various benefits it has offered to users through time were visualized. The articles found were systematized considering the analysis matrix, containing predominant aspects in the number of publications during the year 2021 with 12 publications and a smaller number of publications during 2022. A prototype of 29 articles was studied, in the last five years regarding the use of Educational software that involves GeoGebra.

SUMMARY: Volumetric assessment of brain structures is an important tool in neuroscience research and clinical practice. The volumetric measurement of normally functioning human brain helps detect age-related changes in some regions, which can be observed at varying degrees. This study aims to estimate the insular volume in the normally functioning human brain in both genders, different age groups, and side variations. A cross-sectional retrospective study was conducted on 42 adult Sudanese participants in Al-Amal Hospital, Sudan, between May to August 2022, using magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) and automatic brain segmentation through a software program (BrainSuite). The statistical difference in total insular volume on both sides of the cerebral hemisphere was small. The insular volume on the right side was greater in males, while the left side showed no difference between both genders. A statistically significant difference between males and females was found (p > 0.05), and no statistical difference in different age groups was found according to the one-way ANOVA test (p>0.05). Adult Sudanese males showed a larger insular volume than females. MRI can be used to morphometrically assess the insula to detect any pathological variations based on volume changes.


La evaluación volumétrica de las estructuras cerebrales es una herramienta importante en la investigación y la práctica clínica de la neurociencia. La medición volumétrica del cerebro humano, que funciona normalmente, ayuda a detectar cambios relacionados con la edad en algunas regiones, las cuales se pueden observar en diversos grados. Este estudio tuvo como objetivo estimar el volumen insular en el cerebro humano que funciona normalmente, en ambos sexos, de diferentes grupos de edad y sus variaciones laterales. Se realizó un estudio retrospectivo transversal en 42 participantes sudaneses adultos en el Hospital Al-Amal, Sudán, entre mayo y agosto de 2022, utilizando imágenes de resonancia magnética y segmentación automática del cerebro a través de un software (BrainSuite). Fue pequeña la diferencia estadística en el volumen insular total, en los hemisferios cerebrales. El volumen insular del lado derecho fue mayor en los hombres, mientras que el lado izquierdo no mostró diferencia entre ambos sexos. Se encontró una diferencia estadísticamente significativa entre hombres y mujeres (p > 0,05), y no se encontró diferencia estadística en los diferentes grupos de edad, según la prueba de ANOVA de una vía (p> 0,05). Los hombres sudaneses adultos mostraron un mayor volumen insular que las mujeres. La resonancia magnética se puede utilizar para evaluar morfométricamente la ínsula y para detectar cualquier variación patológica basada en cambios de volumen.

Objetivo: Desenvolver um software para gestão da fila cirúrgica eletiva. Métodos: Estudo metodológico, conduzido para desenvolver e validar um protótipo computacional na forma de software. Para validar o conteúdo, participaram 55 juízes selecionados intencionalmente. Empregou-se o Índice de Validação de Conteúdo para medir o grau e a porcentagem de concordância entre os juízes. O estudo foi aprovado pelo Comitê de Ética em Pesquisa da Universidade Federal do Piauí, com Nº de Parecer 5.306.171. Resultados: As evidências de validade do conteúdo foram consideradas satisfatórias, indicando clareza, adequação aos objetivos propostos, coerência, atualização, organização lógica, precisão e objetividade, além de apresentar potencialidades para que os pacientes possam acompanhar o seu posicionamento na fila. Conclusão: O desenvolvimento do software reúne evidências válidas e favoráveis para a organização e gestão da lista de espera cirúrgica, permitindo a priorização de casos com base na gravidade clínica e no senso de urgência.(AU)


Objective: To develop a software for elective surgery queue management. Methods: Methodological study, conducted to develop and validate a computational prototype in the form of software. To validate the content, 55 intentionally selected judges participated. The Content Validation Index was used to measure the degree and percentage of agreement between the judges. The study was approved by the Research Ethics Committee of the Federal University of Piauí, with Opinion No. 5.306.171. Results: The evidence of content validity was considered satisfactory, indicating clarity, adequacy to the proposed objectives, coherence, updating, logical organization, precision and objectivity, in addition to presenting potentialities for patients to monitor their position in the queue. Conclusion: The development of the software brings together valid and favorable evidence for the organization and management of the surgical waiting list, allowing the prioritization of cases based on clinical severity and sense of urgency.(AU)

Background: Due to rapid urbanization, there is an increase in population in slums often lacking access to basic health services. Objective: The purpose of this study was to assess the utilization of reproductive and child health services by recently delivered women and their children residing in catchment areas of urban PHCs, to evaluate their level of satisfaction and to determine the factors associated with utilization of these services by recently delivered women. Settings and Design: The study was conducted in the catchment areas of urban primary health centre of Lucknow. Methods and Material: A cross-sectional study was conducted among 320 women having children less than 24 months in the slums covered under selected U-PHCs, sampled through a multi-stage random sampling technique using a semi-structured questionnaire. Statistical analysis used: SPSS-26 and MedCalc software were used for data analysis. Results: Utilization of RCH services by recently delivered women from UPHC was 39%. About 24% of recently delivered women availed ANC services from UPHC and 56.7% utilized family planning services and 95.8% immunization services for children. Child care services for diarrhea and ARI were availed by 9.9 and 3.1% of women, respectively. Satisfaction regarding maternal care and immunization services was seen in 84 and 95.8% of women. Poor satisfaction regarding child care was seen in 56.5% of women. Conclusions: The utilization of RCH services was found to be poor in the study population. Most recently delivered women were satisfied with all services except child care.

Introducción: La formación de estudiantes de las Ciencias Médicas se inició como algo netamente presencial; al pasar el tiempo las invenciones fueron formando parte de la práctica médica y educativa, donde la educación digital tomó un puesto relevante. Objetivo: Diseñar un software educativo para la enseñanza y aprendizaje de las características del examen físico del aparato cardiovascular. Métodos: Se realizó un estudio de innovación y desarrollo tecnológico con el diseño de una multimedia, usando la plataforma Chreasoft, para el estudio del examen físico del aparato cardiovascular en la Filial de Ciencias Médicas Nuevitas durante el curso 2020 - 2021. El universo de aplicación del software se conformó por los 33 estudiantes de 3er. año de la carrera de medicina. Resultados: Durante el diagnóstico inicial, tres estudiantes resultaron evaluados de mal. En la evaluación final, luego de utilizar el software, predominó el uso de bibliografía digital e impresa; además se evidenció un incremento en el nivel de información de los estudiantes, ya que la mayoría obtuvo calificación de bien; se destacó el nivel de satisfacción en la categoría de alto tras el uso del software educativo por los estudiantes. Conclusiones: La multimedia Examen Físico del Aparato Cardiovascular constituye, en nuestro medio, un aporte al proceso de enseñanza aprendizaje y tributa al modo de actuación del futuro egresado, mediante la formación de valores, interactividad con el contenido, retroalimentación, evaluación y el desarrollo de habilidades, como el trabajo independiente y la autopreparación.


Introduction: The training of medical sciences students began as something involving purely face-to-face activities; but as time passed, the inventions became part of the medical and educational practice where digital education reached a relevant position. Objective: To design an educational software for the teaching and learning of the characteristics of the physical examination of the cardiovascular system. Methods: A study of innovation and technological development was carried out with the design of a multimedia, using the Chreasoft platform for the study of the physical examination of the cardiovascular system at the Subsidiary of Medical Sciences Nuevitas during the 2020 - 2021 academic year. The universe of application of the software was made up of the 33 students in the 3rd year of medical studies. Results: During the initial diagnosis, three students were evaluated as poor. In the final evaluation, after using the software, the use of digital and printed bibliography predominated. In addition, an increase in the level of information among students was evidenced since most of them were evaluated as good; after the use of the educational software the high level of satisfaction expressed by the students was highlighted. Conclusions: The multimedia Physical Examination of the Cardiovascular System constitutes, in our field, a contribution to the teaching-learning process and contributes to the way of acting of the future graduate through the formation of values, interactivity with the content, feedback, evaluation and development of skills, independent work, and self-preparation.

Resumo: Objetivou-se desenvolver o protótipo de um software para avaliação clínica de enfermeiros, no serviço de saúde da penitenciária federal de segurança máxima de Porto Velho, Brasil. Como método, seguiram-se os moldes da pesquisa metodológica de produção tecnológica, que teve como cenário uma penitenciária federal, e foi desenvolvida em duas fases: fase 1, denominada fase exploratória, que incluiu três etapas: a) revisão de literatura; b) informações obtidas dos participantes sobre o conhecimento da avaliação clínica; c) análise dos dados; fase 2, denominada de fase de desenvolvimento do modelo de prototipação, o qual seguiu o ciclo de vida de desenvolvimento de sistema, dividido em três etapas: análise e especificação; desenvolvimento; e manutenção, propostas por Pressman (2011). Como produto, obteve-se o protótipo do software intitulado AVALIA TIS - SPF, com características dinâmicas que inclui módulos de cadastro e login do usuário; identificação do paciente; histórico/anamnese e avaliação clínica. Conclui-se que esta ferramenta tem potencial para instrumentalizar o enfermeiro na execução e documentação da primeira etapa do processo de enfermagem, contribuindo na valorização e sustentação da prática profissional, colaborando para a assistência integral da população carcerária. É viável a replicabilidade para outras unidades prisionais, temas e outras áreas do conhecimento. Tem potencial para impacto social, mantendo a população de pessoas privadas de liberdade, com melhor qualidade de vida durante o período do cumprimento de pena; impacto econômico, com possibilidade de identificação precoce de problemas de saúde e, consequentemente, menor número de complicações que exigem utilização de serviços de saúde de atenção secundária ou terciária. O teor inovador encontra-se no fato de implementar um sistema de informação segura dos dados dos custodiados, com possibilidade de ampliação de todas as penitenciárias de segurança máxima brasileiras.


Abstract: This study aimed to develop a software prototype to clinically evaluate nurses in the health service of the maximum-security federal penitentiary in Porto Velho. We followed the methodological research of technological production using a federal penitentiary as a scenario. The study consisted of two phases: Phase 1, the exploratory phase, which included three stages: a) literature review; b) the information obtained from participants regarding their knowledge of clinical evaluation; and c) data analysis; Phase 2, the prototyping model development phase, which followed the system development life cycle, divided into three stages: a) analysis and specification; b) development; and maintenance, proposed by Pressman (2011). The final product is a software prototype entitled AVALIA TIS - SPF, with dynamic characteristics that include user registration and login modules, patient identification, history/anamnesis, and clinical evaluation. In conclusion, this tool has the potential to equip nurses in the execution and documentation of the first stage of the nursing process, contributing to the appreciation and support of professional practice and collaborating for the integral assistance of the prison population. Replicability for other prison units, themes, and other areas of knowledge is feasible. It has the potential for social impact, giving a better quality of life to the freedom-deprived population while serving their sentence, and economic impact, with the possibility of early identification of health problems and, consequently, fewer complications that require secondary or tertiary health care services. The innovative content is because it implements a secure information system for the data of those in custody, with the possibility of expanding all Brazilian maximum security penitentiaries.

Objetivo: El objetivo de este estudio fue desarrollar e implementar un software educativo bidimensional para el proceso de aprendizaje del diseño de Prótesis Parciales Removibles.Materiales y métodos: Se utilizó el método científico y procedimientos de evaluación educativa para abordar las necesidades de la asignatura de Prótesis Parcial Removible en la Facultad de Odontología de la UNMSM de Perú en el año 2022. Se utilizó análisis, síntesis y encuestas. Se examinó la aplicabilidad del software y el cumplimiento de los requerimientos de enseñanza y aprendizaje, no sólo en la UNMSM sino en cualquier universidad con requerimientos y características similares. Resultados: La aplicación in-terna del software arrojó un valor final del 96%, mientras que la evaluación de alumnos y docentes mostró un 90% de aceptación, al considerar que el SEDUPPR es sencillo para instalar, sencillo en su manejo y funcionamiento, y es muy útil para aprender diseño de PPR. Conclusiones: El software educativo bidimensional diseñado para el proceso de aprendizaje de Prótesis Parcial Removible es aplicable y puede ser implementado en diferentes ámbitos educativos.


Objective: The objective of this study was to develop and implement a two-dimensional educational software for the learning process of designing Removable Partial Prostheses.Materials and Methods: The scientific method and educational evaluation procedures were utilized to address the needs of the Removable Partial Prosthesis subject in the Fa-culty of Dentistry at the UNMSM in Peru in 2022. Analysis, synthesis, and surveys were used. The software's applicability and fulfillment of teaching and learning requirements were examined, not only at the UNMSM but also in any university with similar require-ments and characteristics. Results: The internal application of the software yielded a final value of 96%, while the evaluation of students and teachers showed a 90% acceptance rate, considering that SEDUPPR is simple to install, easy to use and operate, and is very useful for learn PPR design. Conclusion: The two-dimensional educational software designed for the learning process of Removable Partial Prosthesis is applicable and can be implemented in different educational settings.

Background: Contemporary society has led to the increasing use of electronic equipment that is very much responsible for the burden of electronic waste (e-waste). E-waste contains very hazardous substance that harms health and environmental conditions. There is no delicate mechanism for the management of e-waste in Lucknow city, Uttar Pradesh. This study assessed knowledge, practice, and awareness of e-waste management among residents of this city. Material and methods: The study was conducted amongst users of electronic equipment living in the Lucknow City of Uttar Pradesh. The study was a cross-sectional descriptive study. Multi-stage random sampling was done for the selection of participants for the study. A predesigned and pretested questionnaire was administered in a single setting for all phases. The total optimum sample size is 700 individuals who participated in the study. Data were entered in MS Excel 2016 and descriptive statistics such as frequencies and percentages were calculated, applying the chi-square test for association using R-4.2.1 Statistical software. Aim and objectives: To assess the knowledge, attitude and practices regarding the management of electronic waste among users of electronic equipment residing in Lucknow city. Results: Only 37% of users are aware that e-waste adversely affects health. Only 34.3% of users knew that e-waste should be given to the seller or manufacturer for recycling while rest told that it should be stored at home, sold to a scrap dealer, or disposed with normal waste. 87.3% users are not aware about e-waste govt guidelines. In the current study electronic and print media like television, radio and news paper were not found to be source of information for e-waste disposal. Conclusion: Education regarding the ill effects of e-waste is essential for people and awareness of proper disposal of e-waste is the need of the hour. Electronic and print media as well as companies producing electronic equipment should play a significant role to awaken the respondent about the disposal of e-waste

Background: Smartphone addiction among adolescents is an increasingly recognized problem worldwide. It affects the psychological well-being of an individual. Aim and objective: The current study aimed to assess smartphone addiction’s prevalence and its relation to depression among adolescents. Methods: This cross-sectional study was conducted among 400 school-going adolescents. Smartphone Addiction Scale - Short version (SAS-SV) and Patient Health Questionnaire (PHQ-9) were used to assess the prevalence of smartphone addiction and depression. Data were analyzed using Epi info software for windows (CDC, Atlanta). Statistical significance was set at p < 0.05. Results: The mean age of study participants was 14.4 years (SD=1.5 years). The prevalence of smartphone addiction was 23%, while depression was present among 45% of the study participants. Comparatively higher duration of smartphone use was significantly associated with smartphone addiction. Depression was significantly higher among smartphone addicts (77.2%) as compared to their counterparts (35.4%). Conclusion and Recommendation: The smartphone usage of adolescents, if not monitored, could lead to its addiction and thus increase the risk of depression among them. To prevent smartphone addiction, limiting children’s screen time is recommended. In this regard, parents can play a pivotal role by becoming responsible digital role models for their children.
